Debbie had a wonderful idea for the family to experience the Nativity story at a deeper, more meaningful level. And so, without further ado – A Nativity Story by the Iding Clan.
About 2000 years ago, God sent the Angel Gabriel from the heavens to the earth to inform Mary of her holy assignment.
As the Angel Gabriel told Mary what God asked of her, she was surprised to say the least, and at one point she actually laughed out loud at the idea that she should birth the Son of God. But it quickly got serious.
Starting from their home, Mary and Joseph embarked on a journey to the town of their birth according to the decree of the Roman governor. It was a long, hard journey with “Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the mule” (which was the worst curse my Dad ever used). By the way, that is Debbie under that Squishy donkey head.
But finally they arrived in Bethlehem to find no rooms at the inn. The innkeeper graciously offered them the use of the stable and they eagerly accepted since a very pregnant Mary was close to her time of child birth.
Out in the fields, two more angels were announcing the upcoming birth of Jesus to some shepherds in a field. Do you agree that they were all very nicely dressed!
Back in the manger the Child Jesus was Born and an angel was present immediately giving praise and leading the singing of the heavenly choir. All the animals in the stable drew near to Him.
Mary and Joseph were so proud of their newborn child. The manger was surrounded by the animals of the stable. Imagine – the King of the Universe – sleeping in the most humble abode.
BEHOLD THE SON OF GOD!
The Shepherds finally arrived at the stable. Listen to their joyous singing!
